Portland: Day Three

Today was a fab day! Krista worked out & I slept in a little. We headed to our new fave Sbux two blocks away to use the internet & enjoy the holiday flavors that are back! And of course on our last day here, we finally had to buy umbrellas.

I had been wanting to see one of the college campuses around here & so we thought we'd check out Portland State University. On our way, we stopped & had lunch at Jake's Grille {a McCormick & Schmick affiliate} - it was delish! A great thing about Portland {besides no sales tax} is the public transportation...it is unbelievably easy to use & some of it is free. We hopped on a street car & went to the Westside where the University District is located. Each of us bought a PSU tee - the campus is beautiful too.

The area where the university was, had a bunch of neat shops & reminded us of Ann Arbor {just a little}. There was a HUGE Whole Foods, Anthropologie, massive NorthFace & another Sur La Table. Loads of great places.

After a long day of walking around, we're back in our room getting ready to spend one last night in Portland. If you've never been here, you definitely have to check it out at some point!
